Construction finally starts on WTC Freedom Tower

April 29, 2006 – 8:20 pm

Construction officially started on April 27th, 2006 for the rebuilding of the WTC site and memorial. The Freedom Tower, designed by Daniel Libeskind and redesigned by SOM’s David M. Childs, is finally under way after bickering between various factions.
